“ If you happen to be around this place, STOP HERE !! This place is wonderful for people who just don't know what they want. City Cafe Diner has just about every craving you could think of. With portions fitting for a small horse, I believe I have a meal for next TWO times I'm hungry, whenever that may be. The food was great, hot, and fresh. The servers were lively even at midnight and were very friendly. The place feels familiar and comfortable and has all the right foods. My only complaint is that they fed me too much good food, and I didn't have room for the dozens of cake options! ”

“ My wife and I went here a while back and loved it so when we came this time we were surprised to see they had moved from the Bo Hotel. Well it looks much better now in a great location! I ordered the City Cafe breakfast special and my wife ordered the Denver Omelette. Everything was great except I wish the ham was a shank portion instead of the canned ham. The service was excellent and we had a great time. Oh and their cakes are amazing!!! We will definitely stop in everytime we're in Chattanooga! ”

“ Great food and great experience! There is what I call the menu bible...it is a menu with over 500 selections of food cooked to perfection. They also have a bakery with so many pies, cakes, cheesecakes, etc. The atmosphere is family-friendly and looks like a 1950s diner. Staff are very quick, nice and efficient. Bathrooms are spacious. There are booths and tables that can accommodate wheelchairs. Food is well priced and not outrageous. You will need a to-go box. It is very clean too. The best thing of all... It is open 24 hours!! ”

“ We ate breakfast here 1 morning, grabbed a late night snack one night, and also attempted to get breakfast our last morning in town but they could not take orders due to there had been a brief power outage that had the computers down. We asked if they could not just take our order with pen and paper, but apparently, even the grills or ovens ran from computer generated mechanisms. The food/atmosphere is a step above a cafe feel. It is a nice place with excellent food. All the staff greet you and interact with you. It is a very clean place with a wide variety of items on their menu from something for the more healthy conscious to those that aren't. I personally wouldn't choose this place if I was trying to eat healthy, however, because a large selection of amazing looking desserts are one of the 1st things you encounter when you walk in. You do wait for table service, but it was very quick each time we went. The manager was very interactive with the other staff as well as the customers. This was one of our favorite places we ate at while on a weekend anniversary trip. ”
